Tidalist ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application Tidalist (the "App").

Tidalist is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers. Specifically:

• No account creation required — The App works without any login or account
• No analytics or tracking — We do not use any analytics services, tracking pixels, or behavioral monitoring
• No server storage — All your data stays exclusively on your device
• No third-party data sharing — We do not share any data with third parties
• No advertising — The App contains no advertisements
• No network access required — Every feature runs entirely on-device

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

All data created within the App is stored locally on your device using SQLite database and local file storage:

• Tasks and subtasks you create
• Photos you attach to tasks (stored in app's private directory)
• Completion history and streak data
• App preferences and settings

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features (passcode, biometrics, encryption)
• We recommend enabling device encryption and using a strong passcode
• We cannot access, recover, or restore your data if your device is lost or damaged

Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions:

• Camera — To take photos for task attachments (optional)
• Photo Library — To select photos from your gallery (optional)
• Notifications — To send task reminders (optional)

These permissions are entirely optional. The App functions without granting these permissions, with reduced feature availability.

In-App Purchases

Tidalist offers a one-time "Pro" upgrade ($4.99 USD) that unlocks additional features. Purchase processing is handled entirely by Apple App Store / Google Play Store. We do not process, store, or transmit any payment information — your transaction is between you and the platform provider.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
